"Christmas Carols For Harp" Commissioned
Concert Harpist Patrice Lockhart has commissioned a set of Christmas Carols arranged for harp, trying to fill the need for more solo music written well for that instrument, especially for the season that is the busiest of the year for harpists. Patrice' plan is to record the pieces for a CD, probably for release before Christmas of 2014.
"Neva's Lullabies" To Be Recorded
Concert Harpist Patrice Lockhart will record "Neva's Lullabies" with her daughter, Eliza Lockhart-Jenks. The lullabies will be made available both as a recording and with an accompanying songbook designed by artist Emily Bracale. A release date has not been set.
"Songs of Loss and Love" To Premiere In April
Terry Quinn, who authored the texts for this new piece of Cabaret Theater, will be overseeing a student-produced production featuring an all-professional cast and crew at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights, NYC. The single performance date has yet to be set, but is expected to be in April, 2013 on a Monday or Thursday at noon.
"The White Rose" Is Now "Charlie!"
Having been substantially revised since its release in June, the musical remembering Charlie Howard has a new name to go along with the power that is gained by its new shape. Playwright Bruce Spang and I both feel that the previous name is simply not strong enough to shoulder the weight of the story being told and fails to keep the focus on Charlie. The significance of the "white rose petals" that are mentioned a number of times in the show has not lessened; their symbolic power is intact.
You are invited to get to know the music and story of "The White Rose". As soon as an updated recording of "Charlie!" is available, anyone who has purchased a download of "The White Rose" (at any time) will, on request, be sent a link for a free download of the revision.

"The White Rose", in four Acts lasting 96 minutes in this recording, has never been performed in its entirety, and until such a production is mounted, the only way to know this powerful music and story will be to hear the demo!
